The mission of Humboldt High School, with the combined support of its stakeholders, is to provide a safe, caring, and secure environment where all students master grade-level curriculum in order to demonstrate proficiency on state-mandated tests and gain skills that will enable them to perform successfully in their next educational or vocational experience. |

Beliefs of Humboldt High School
1. All students can learn and are held to high standards.
2. Students’ learning needs are the primary focus of all decisions impacting the work of our school.
3. The curriculum is guided by state standards and is broad enough to allow students to acquire the skills and attitudes needed to become confident, self-directed, and life-long learners.
4. In addition to the basic skills of learning, a wide range of instructional strategies and exploratory activities including occupational training, research projects, and the diverse use of technology are implemented.
5. Students learn best when actively engaged in the learning process and when they have appropriate opportunities for success.
6. Advancing the school’s mission is a cooperative effort of the students, staff, administration, parents, and community.
7. Federal, state, and local policies guide the day-to-day decisions of school administration.
8. Students are assessed in a variety of ways in each of their subjects; these assessments help prepare students for state and national tests. |
