We are collecting “trash” to make an Environmental word wall for our room.Please help us by allowing your child to bring empty wrappers of items he or she can read without help for example: fast food wrappers, laundry detergent boxes, toy boxes (Barbie), candy wrappers,cereal boxes, etc.  The children get very excited when they can read these words without help and it promotes their confidence.  Please allow your child to bring these items to school.

   What's New in Math?

 

We are matching sets with and writing numerals for 1-12. We are ordering numbers 1-10 and learning ordinal numbers. We are also learning to identify pennies, nickels, dimes, and quarters.  Shapes, patterns, days of the week, months of the year, weather, and counting by 5's and 10's will also be focused on.

  Magnet Madness

We are now in unit three of our careers, during which we will be studying farm life while we pretend to be farmers.  During this unit we will learn about all aspects of plants and seeds. We will even plant some seeds of our own.  We will  also learn about the different animals on the farm and which plants and animals our food comes from.  Don't forget to ask your children about the exciting topic they discussed in class today!
